Denison lurking after first round at OWU

DELAWARE, Ohio—After the first round of the Strimer Memorial Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Oakhaven Golf Club, Denison sits in third place, trailing by only five strokes.

The Big Red was led on Saturday by Jonathan Taylor and Guille Henegar who posted the two best rounds in the field of 31 golfers.  Taylor led the way with a 2-over par, 73 and Henegar followed with a 3-over par, 74.  Christian Early followed with an 81 and Dutch Koldyke posted Denison's fourth score with an 83.  Playing as an individual, Denison's Nick Brodbeck fired a 78.

Ohio Wesleyan is the leader heading into round two at 306.  Trine is second at 308, followed by Denison with 311 while Adrian (333) and Hiram (356) round out the field.
