DELAWARE, Ohio -- Denison senior Jonathan Taylor fired an even-par 71 on the final day of the Strimer Memorial Invitational, earning him a three-shot victory at the two-day event held at the Oakhaven Golf Club on Sunday. Taylor's win helped the Big Red finish third with 607 strokes.

Taylor finished the two-day event two-over par with a 144, three strokes ahead of second-place Trine's Grant McKay. Fellow senior Guille Henegar finished four strokes behind the leader in a tie for third with 148 total shots. Henegar fired matching scores of 74 on both days of the tournament.

Freshman Christian Early and sophomore Knox Montgomery rounded out the Big Red scoring on Sunday with rounds of 75 and 76, respectively. Early finished the event in 13th place with 156 shots, while Montgomery was tied for 17th with a score of 160. Competing as an individual, sophomore Nick Brodbeck placed 10th overall with a two-round score of 152.

The host Battling Bishops won the team title with 600 strokes after firing a second-round score of 294. Trine was second with a team total of 602 while Denison, Adrian (651) and Hiram (714) rounded out the team standings.

Joining Taylor and Henegar on the All-Tournament team were McKay and the Ohio Wesleyan duo of Aunders Erickson and Adam Armstrong.
