Men’s Golf sits in third after two rounds at Saddlebrook

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- In their first tournament of the spring season, Denison men's golf currently sits in third place at the Centre Spring Invitational held at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Fla. With a team score of 629, the Big Red is 10 points behind leader Rensselaer Polytechnic (619) and host Centre College with 625 points in second place.

Leading the way for Denison is Nick Brodbeck who finished three strokes better on his second 18 (76) for a spot in seventh place with a score of 155, only seven strokes back of the leader from Allegheny, Robert Hapanowicz. Freshman Charlie Winkler posted a score of 156 through his first two rounds, only one stroke back of Brodbeck in eighth place.

In a tie for 13th, Connor Holleran and Will Grady have tallied scores of 159 through the first two rounds, with Holleran improving his first round score (84) by nine strokes (75).

Rounding out the Big Red competitors is sophomore Christian Early who is currently tied for 21st place with a 166.

Denison will return to Saddlebrook on Saturday, March 24 for the third and final round of the Centre Spring Invitational.
