Men place eighth at NCAC Championship

The Denison men's indoor track and field team placed eighth at the 2016 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship from the Kenyon Athletic Center in Gambier, Ohio.

On Saturday, Denison posted a pair of fifth-place relay finishes while senior sprinter Quenton Richards placed seventh in the 60-meter dash.

Richards finished the race in 7.22 seconds, scoring two points for the Big Red.

In the 4x200 meter relay, Denison won their heat and finished fifth overall as Lucas Romick, Michael Bonebrake, Ian Mulmat and Richards crossed the finish line in 1:36.45.  Ohio Wesleyan won the event with a time of 1:30.99.

In the 4x400 meter relay, Mitch Keller, Zach Cove, Bonebrake and Zach Munn combined for a time of 3:32.39 to take fifth.  Wittenberg logged the fastest time, finishing in 3:27.47.

In the mile, Cove would finish just outside of the scoring, placing ninth with a time of 4:25.71.

The team champion was Ohio Wesleyan who finished with 223 points.  Wabash was second with 183.5 followed by Wittenberg at 79.5.
