GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Fueled by a 26-0 run in the fourth quarter, Denison rallied for a 72-55 win over Hiram College to close out the regular season.  The Terriers were held scoreless over a span of 8:30, allowing the Big Red to make its epic run.

At the end of the third quarter, Hiram led DU, 50-42.  They outscored Denison 22-16 in the quarter and shot 64 percent in the quarter.  Things could not have been any different for the Terriers in the fourth.

Lauren Turner scored the first five points of the period to pull Denison to within three.  A miss by Hiram's Alainna Conroy allowed Alison Schafer to drill the first of her three, 3-pointers in the quarter.  Schafer's third trey with 5:30 remaining put Denison on top 60-50.  It didn't stop there as Turner scored back-to-back baskets to give her nine points in the quarter.

Hiram eventually broke the 26-0 run with 1:30 left in the game when Conroy drilled a jumper from 15-feet.  Her squad added three more points at the free throw to set the final 72-55.

The colossal fourth quarter saw Denison shoot 10-of-12 (83 percent) from the field while Hiram went 1-for-14 (7 percent).  Thirteen of DU's 30 points in the quarter came from reserves Turner, Kat Williams and Valesha Province

Schafer finished with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes.  She was 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, tying a Denison single-game record for 3-pointers made in a game.  She joins Kellie Arter, Haley Dahlgard, Emily Larouere and Shea Adams in the record book.

Lauren Longbrake followed with 16 points and 11 rebounds in only 16 minutes off the bench.  Turner scored 12 points, marking her second-straight game in which she has set a new career-high in points.  She tallied 10 points on Saturday against Allegheny.

Brittany Atkinson scored 11 points and tied Turner and Lauren Hofer for the team lead with four assists, each.

Hiram was led in scoring by Conroy's 15 points.

Denison will play the waiting game while the rest of the conference closes out the regular season on Saturday.  DU will be either the fifth or sixth seed in next week's NCAC Tournament.
