Springfield, Ohio – Denison women's golf currently holds a fourth-place position after the first round of the Pat Clouse Invitational at the Springfield Country Club. The Big Red posted a team score of 330 after day one, while Washington University-St. Louis leads all 12 competitors with a score of 313. The host school, Wittenberg University, only sits one stroke back with a 314.
DU has been paced by sophomore Emmy Timberlake, whose first round 78 has her tied with two other golfers in fourth place. Senior Sophie Kollin finished the opening round only three strokes back of Timberlake with an 81, good for a tie at 10th place.
Denison returns to Springfield Country Club on Sunday, Oct. 8 for the final round of the Pat Clouse Invitational.
