Women's Golf fires third-best round in program history at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—At the midway point of the Pat Clouse Invitational, Denison women's golf sits in second place, only seven shots behind first-place Wittenberg.  The Big Red fired a 318 on Saturday at the par-72 Springfield Country Club.  Denison was led by first-year Sophia Alexander who carded a career-best round of 76.  Emmy Timberlake followed with a 79 and Megan Wong posted an 81.  The Big Red's fourth score came from Megan Munn at 82. 

Their 318 is one shy of their season-best round posted on Sept. 16 at Carnegie Mellon.  It is the third-best team scoring round in the history of the program.

Following Denison in third place is Rose-Hulman (327), Otterbein (344), Hanover (355), Franklin (373).

The Big Red will tee it up on Sunday in the final round of the Pat Clouse Invitational.
