After securing the draw, Carol Allen found Kelsey Wright in motion, giving DU a 5-3 lead. The biggest goal of the contest would follow as senior Lauren Adams connected with Whitney Powel 14 seconds before the intermission.
In the second half DU continued to pour it on, scoring eight unanswered goals to open the period. Elsie Humes was behind the first three goals. The junior also added three assist in the contest, moving her career assist total to 96.
