GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Denison opened up a 10-0 lead in the first 19 minutes of play and that would be enough to carry the Big Red to a 16-3 win over DePauw on Wednesday at Piper Stadium.

It took Denison first-year midfielder Kiely Noonan all of 1:44 to post her hat trick.  Her first goal came via an assist from Claudia Rafi.  Her second was unassisted and the third came from Halle Walsh.

A yellow card on DePauw's Annie Barrett allowed the Big Red to score a man-up goal as Leah Israel converted on a pass from Rafi.  Six more goals followed from Reid Hirschey, Claire Ludlow, Leander Perun, Lee Hayman, Israel and Graham McIntosh.  That started the running clock and DU never looked back.  They took a 13-1 lead into halftime and outscored the Tigers 4-2 in the second to wrap up the 16-3 victory.

Noonan led Denison with four goals.  Rafi finished with two goals and two assists while Israel and Ludlow tallied two goals and one assist. Jane Goodspeed and Israel led DU with three draw controls.  Israel, Hayman and Maddy Heher posted two caused turnovers apiece.  Hannah Magarian got the win in goal. She played the first half and recorded one save.  Becca Jones played the entire second half and also posted one save.

Denison improves to 8-3 and remains undefeated in the North Coast Athletic Conference at 4-0.  DePauw drops to 5-4 and 1-3 in the NCAC.

The Big Red returns to Piper Stadium on Saturday (April 15) when they host Hiram College at 1 p.m.
