DELAWARE, Ohio -- Denison junior Arlesha Cospy and sophomore Ajai Brooks combined for four event titles at the Marv Frye Invitational held at Ohio Wesleyan University this weekend. As a team, the Big Red finished fifth in the 11-team field with 69 points.

Cospy opened the event on Friday with a pair of top-2 finishes. The junior took second in the hammer throw with final toss of 140'6". She followed that up by winning the shot put with a heave of 39'7.75". Cospy returned to Delaware on Saturday to win the discus with a mark of 143'1". Like Cospy, Brooks was also a two-time winner as she took home victory in both the 100 and 200-meter events. The sophomore sprinter checked in at 12.06 in the 100, while breaking the tape in 26.12 in the 200 dash.

Freshman Erin O'Connor placed fourth in the 1500-meter run after crossing the line in 5:00.62, while Jessica Nix's time of 17.16 in the hurdles was good enough for eighth place. In other field event action, senior Anne Lee scored in both the long and triple jumps. Lee placed fifth in the triple jump with a combined leap of 33'4", while her top mark of 15'8.25" earned her seventh in the long jump.

The 4x100 relay team of Bren'et Muldrow, Bryn Tomczak, Amy Kirk and Brooks took fourth with a final time of 51.67. In the 4x400 relay, the foursome of Sydney Chandler, Sara Lichtenberg, Sydney Lerda and Emily Grabauskas placed fifth at 4:23.17.

Ohio Northern won the team title with 161 points, besting the host Bishops who collected 138.5 tallies. Case Western Reserve and Heidelberg tied for third with 87 points each followed by the Big Red in fifth.

Denison will return to Delaware next weekend for the annual Division III All-Ohio Championship hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. Events next Saturday are scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
