CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Thanks to top-three performances from seniors Hannah Hall and Arlesha Cospy, Denison women's track and field concluded the North Coast Athletic Conference's Indoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday afternoon at Wabash College in a tie for sixth place with Wittenberg University. Tied at 41 points each, the two teams trailed fifth-place Wooster by 11 points (52), while Kenyon College took fourth-place with 71 points. Oberlin College added their second-straight NCAC title with 197.50 team points.

For the third-straight season, Hall garnered yet another top-two finish in the high jump, finishing this year in second-place with a height of 5'4.25" (1.63 meters). Fellow senior Jessica Nix also finished the event in the top-10, placing 10th with a new personal-best jump of 4'10.25" (1.48 meters).

Continuing on success from previous years, Cospy finished the women's weight throw in third-place for the second consecutive season. Her throw of 51'7" (15.72 meters) landed as a new personal record, while freshman Anna Vrancken rounded out the DU performances in the event with a distance of 36'11.25" (11.27 meters) to finish in 15th place.

In the running events, freshman Molly Smith posted a season-best time of 2:24.46 in the 800-meter run to finish the event in sixth-place, while Erin O'Connor placed 10th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:03.80.

A pair of top-10 finishes also resided for the Big Red in the relay events as Danni Gutelius, Sydney Chandler, Mackenzie Mason and Nix finished the 4X200-meter relay in seventh-place with a 1:55.45. Gutelius and Chandler then joined Smith and Phoebe Osterhout to place fifth in the 4X400, clocking in at 4:21.59.

Denison will now move forward to next weekend's NCAA Indoor Championship (March 9-10) in Birmingham, Ala. before they make the jump to the outdoor season that begins on March 16 at Washington & Lee University.
