GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison women's cross country placed seven runners in the top 10 allowing them to win the dual meet with the College of Wooster at Infirmary Mound Park.  The Big Red totaled 19 points thanks to the top-five scorers finishing first, second, fourth, fifth and seventh overall.

The overall winner of the race was Big Red freshman Tommy Solberg who completed the 4K course in 17:10.9 equaling a 6:54 per mile pace.  Second-place went to classmate Sarah Radziewicz who was just over five seconds off the winning pace of Solberg at 17:16.1.

Finishing fourth and fifth in the overall standings was Erin O'Connor and Emily Grabauskas, respectively.  O'Connor posted a time of 17:24.9 while Grabauskas checked in at 17:25.9.

In seventh place, Emma Riordan crossed the finish line in 17:46.4 while Phoebe Osterhout placed eighth with a time of 17:58.1.

The Big Red's lineup was rounded out by Sara Lichtenberg (10th - 18:02.7) and Isabelle Cannon (13th – 18:29.8).

The Big Red returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 14) when they compete at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble.  That is a prelude to the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, which will also take place at Oberlin College on Oct. 28.
