GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Denison improved to 31-5 after a 13-3 win over Muskingum on Monday night at Big Red Field.  With the win, the Big Red remained undefeated at home (12-0) while also running their winning streak versus Ohio Athletic Conference opponents to 25 games dating back to the 2016 season.

With this being Denison's fourth game in three days this was a bullpen game for the Big Red and sophomore reliever Jack Arnstein got the start and pitched three innings.  He allowed two runs in the first, but Denison followed with seven runs in the bottom of the first to take back the lead for good.

Two Muskingum errors in the first helped Denison score seven runs.  Brad Baldinger had a two-run single in the inning and in his second at-bat in the inning, Max Lahn ripped a two-run double down the left field line.

Denison scored three more in the fifth on an RBI single by Ty Robinson and a two-run single by Will Krushena.  The scoring was rounded out in the seventh on another RBI single by Krushena, bringing his season total for RBIs to 59.  The single-season school record for RBIs is 63, set by Denison Hall of Famer Drew Shamrock in 2004.

Freshman Ryan Mitchell drove in two runs with a two-out pinch-hit single to center.

First-year Jarrett Hyder made his collegiate debut on the mound in the fourth inning and pitched three innings of one-run baseball.  Daniel Kurtzer pitched a scoreless seventh and eighth inning while Caleb Struewing worked the ninth.  Hyder picked up the win while Muskingum starter Craig Nixon took the loss.

Lahn reached base in all five plate appearances and was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.  Krushena was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored.  Baldinger also had a multi-hit performance, going 2-of-4 with two RBIs and one run scored.

Denison travels to Oberlin on Wednesday (May 1) for a doubleheader with the Yeomen at noon.
