The Setup:  Denison and DePauw will meet for the 12th time on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Nick Mourouzis Field at Blackstock Stadium in Greencastle, Indiana. The Big Red is coming off a 34-10 victory over the Wabash Little Giants to raise their record to 3-2 on the season, including a 3-1 record in the NCAC. The Tigers enter with an identical record of 3-2 and a 3-1 mark in conferences, coming off a thrilling 28-26 win over Oberlin. The Tigers hold a 6-5 advantage in the series coming off a 26-17 comeback win over the Big Red last season. Denison is looking for its first win over the Tigers since 2013.

How to Watch:  The game will be streamed live from the DePauw Athletic Communications team that can be found on the following link.

The Rankings: Denison enters the game listed in the "others receiving votes" column of the AFCA Division III Top-25 Coaches Poll after a 34-10 win over previously ranked No. 22 Wabash. DePauw is unranked.

Climbing the Record Books: Senior quarterback Canaan Gebele continues to propel his name higher and higher into the record books. After last week's 302-yard, three touchdown performance, Gebele became Denison's all-time leading passer with 6,651 yards and counting, passing Max Paulus '13 for the record. He also moved into a tie with Paulus with 53 career touchdown passes. The dual-threat can also cement his name as a top-10 all-time rusher with 265 more yards on the ground. Fellow senior wide receiver David Weimar can move into the top-5 in career receiving yards and career receptions with a 10 catch, 209-yard performance this week.

Bend or Break: The DePauw Tigers have the fourth-ranked rushing defense in the nation, giving up just 33.0 yards per game and just one rushing touchdown. Twice this season the Tigers have held opponents to negative rushing yards, with their best performance coming against the Wooster Fighting Scotts holding them to -50 yards. The Big Red boasts the 10th ranked total offense in the country, to go along with the 20th ranked rushing attack. Gebele and running back Alex Minton lead the offense that averages 516 yards a game, with 265 yards on the ground.

Sack Artists: This matchup features the No. 1 and No. 2 sack leaders in the conference in DePauw senior Nate Orrison, leading with 8.5 sacks, and Denison junior Nate Keirn, tied for second with 5.5 sacks.

Streak Snapped: For the first time in 16 games and 28 years, the Big Red defeated the Wabash Little Giants 34-10. Denison doubled up Wabash in time of possession (40-20). For almost 58 minutes the Big Red defense pitched a shutout before 10 late points were scored by the Little Giants. This was the most decisive NCAC win against a Little Giants team since the opening week of the 2000 season when Wabash suffered a 41-10 loss to Wittenberg.

Next Man Up: Three new starters appeared for the Big Red last week in senior offensive lineman Nick Morton, junior offensive lineman Preston Ott, and sophomore linebacker Andrew Smith. With both offensive guards going down in the 4OT thriller against Wittenberg on September 29, Morton and Ott stepped in and continued to help anchor the reigning D3 Offensive Line of the Week to a 491-yard, four touchdown showing against the Little Giants. Smith finished second on the team with seven tackles, one-half sack, and one pass break-up to help lead the Big Red's most impressive defensive outing yet this season.

Senior Domination: Denison's current senior class is looking to become the first class since 1987 to defeat every team at least once in their conference schedule. The current Big Red crop would accomplish this with a win over DePauw on Saturday. The Class of 2019 has only lost to Wittenberg, Wabash, and DePauw while posting unblemished records against the other five institutions in the NCAC since 2015. squads up to this point in the season.
