Charlotte Godfrey
Charlotte Godfrey

Freshman Charlotte Godfrey earns her second North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor of the season after scoring multiple goals in back-to-back matches against Ohio Wesleyan University and Wittenberg University.

In Denison's 4-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Thursday, Oct. 19, Godfrey scored the first goal of the match in the sixth minute of play and then answered in the 31st minute for her sixth goal of the season. Against Wittenberg, Godfrey scored both of her goals in the second half (48th and 54th minutes) as the Big Red rolled past the Tigers, 7-2.

Godfrey now ranks third in the NCAC with 70 total shots and is tied for eighth in the conference with eight goals this season.

Denison is currently riding an 11-game winning streak, their best since 2013 when they went 17-2. Entering the final week of the regular season, the Big Red sit in second place in the conference with a 10-2 record.
