The Denison men's soccer team posted their second-straight shutout this season following a 3-0 victory over Adrian on Sunday afternoon in Marietta, Ohio.

The Big Red utilized two of their six first-half corner kicks to build a multi-goal advantage over the Bulldogs. In the 22nd minute, junior defender Jordan Williams unloaded a shot into the lower right corner from 18 yards out off a corner kick from senior Kennedy Kommor.

Roughly nine minutes later, Kommor picked up his second assist of the contest when he sent another corner into the box that eventually found classmate Kyle Skinner. Skinner ripped a shot into the lower right 90 from point blank range. Freshman Eric Buer also picked up a helper on the senior's first tally of the year.

Denison added to their lead nine minutes into the second half when freshman Matt Rush scored her first-collegiate goal off an assist from Max Haupt. From 25 yards out, Rush scored DU's third goal of the game into the lower right corner.

The Bulldogs held a slight 15-14 edge in shots, while the Big Red attempted 11 corner kicks compared to Adrian's eight. Denison senior Andrew Shediac made six saves en route to his second-career shutout, while Bulldog goalie Spencer Brown had five stops in goal.

The Big Red moves to 2-1-1 on the year, while Adrian falls to 2-2. Denison to action on Wednesday when they host Capital University at 7:30 p.m.
