GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) has recognized Denison men's soccer for their academic and on-field achievement this season, naming junior goalie Dylan Brown to the Division III All-Ohio second-team while junior Tucker Nuzum-Clark (first-team) and senior Ryan Albers (second-team) were honored as Academic All-Ohio selections.
Earning the first Division III All-Ohio nod of his career, Brown started 13 of 14 matches this season for the Big Red, collecting 69 saves and recording the lowest goals-against average of his career at 0.97. Ending the season at 6-6-1 in the Denison cage, Brown also posted five total shutouts in 2019, including three clean sheets over his last five matches. A native of Rochester Hills, Mich., Brown is also a two-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference second-team selection as he enters his senior season with 182 saves and a save percentage of .813.
Also making his All-NCAC debut in 2019, Nuzum-Clark was named to the Division III Academic All-Ohio first-team after leading a DU defense that posted five shutouts this season and held the opposition to a 0.087 shot percentage through 17 matches. A native of Carlisle, Mass., Nuzum-Clark currently holds a 3.71 grade-point average while double majoring in French and communication and minoring in studio art. He also added two goals on 11 shots for the Big Red, with his first goal of the season coming in a 3-0 win at Allegheny on Oct. 5.
Albers returns to the Academic All-Ohio second-team for the second-straight year after starting all 17 matches for the Big Red defense in 2019. Finishing his career with 68 starts and four assists, Albers is a native of Beavercreek, Ohio and is a biology major with a 3.62 GPA.
The Big Red ended their 2019 season at 7-9-1 overall and 4-5 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
