WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Denison men's track & field posted six personal records on Saturday afternoon as they placed 11th overall at the 2020 All-Ohio Indoor Track & Field Championships at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.

The Big Red highlighted their efforts in the field events when they tallied four personal records, including a new school record from senior Bryce Stricker in the weight throw. After breaking his previous school record less than three weeks ago, Stricker surpassed his personal best once again on Saturday when he released a launch of 54'4" (16.56 meters) to place second overall in the event.

Freshman Angelo Ricci added to DU's field success when he led off competition with a new PR in the long jump at 21'6" (6.55 meters) to finish in sixth place. Jake Coplin followed in ninth place with a jump of 20'6.25" (6.25 meters) while James Dixie took 10th place (20'4.25") and Kyle Hou landed in 13th (19'1.25"). Ricci also recorded a new personal best in the triple jump with an eighth-place leap of 41'7.25" (12.68 meters) and Coplin added his own PR in ninth place at 41'1.75" (12.54 meters).

In the high jump, senior Ryan Fleming finished sixth overall with a final mark of 6'0.50" (1.84 meters).

On the track, Denison collected two additional personal records and four, top-10 finishes. In the distance events, senior Ben Foster posted a new PR in the 3,000-meter run with a final time of 8:52.35 in fifth place while Keanan Ginell placed 14th overall in the 5,000-meter run with a personal record mark of 15:48.40.

In the 60-meter hurdles, freshman Charlie Webb placed eighth overall with a time of 8.80. He also joined Coplin, Lance Tobasky, and Jack Ruddy in the 4X200 meter relay to place seventh overall with a final mark of 1:34.56.

In the 4X400 meter relay to end the day, Ruddy, Tobasky, Webb, and Benjamin Rumsfeld clocked in at 3:33.42 to place 10th overall.

The Big Red will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 22 when they travel to Springfield, Ohio to take part in the Wittenberg Invitational.
