GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Denison men's cross country closed out their 2019 campaign on Saturday morning with an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship meet hosted by Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Mich. Finishing with a team score of 383, the Big Red edged out Machester in 12th placed with a team score of 387 while Ohio Northern finished 10th overall at 358. Meet host Calvin College kept the team title at home with three finishers in the top-10 and a final score of 43.
The Big Red were led by junior Adam Cromwell who finished the 8K race at 25:12.01 to place 47th overall out of 255 runners. Sophomore Keanan Ginell ended his season with a 51st place finish after clocking in at 25:16.24. Senior Ben Foster closed out his Big Red career with a final time of 25:20.32 to earn a 54th place finish.
Denison finished the 2019 season with five finishes in the top-five as a team while also reaching as high as eighth in the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Regional rankings.
