The Big Red open their season with three Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opponents during their first four games, which includes the home opener against John Carroll on Nov. 20. Two days later, Denison will travel to Colorado for back-to-back games against Johnson & Wales University of Denver (Nov. 22) and Colorado College on Nov. 23.
On Nov. 30, their conference schedule opens as they host Wittenberg at 2 p.m. in Granville before traveling to Hiram on Dec. 4. Denison will wrap up the regular season with consecutive home games against DePauw (Feb. 19) and Ohio Wesleyan (Feb. 22) before the NCAC Tournament begins the following week.
Returning a loaded senior class (10) and three double-digit scorers from last season, the Big Red will be headlined by the sharpshooting of senior Alison Schafer and her 10.9 points per game while Lauren Longbrake and Lauren Hofer will contain the post after combining for 21.3 PPG and 10.3 rebounds per game in 2018-19. Schafer and Longbrake will also look to build off of their postseason accolades after being named All-NCAC Honorable Mention this past season.
Head Coach Sara Lee enters her 31st season at the helm of the Big Red following a 12-4 NCAC record this past season. One of the winningest coaches in Division III women's basketball history, Lee currently sits at 472-318 (.597) for her career with a combined 11 NCAC regular season and tournament titles and has been named the NCAC Coach of the Year six times.
