Women’s Golf enters final day at Rhodes in fourth

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Denison women's golf currently sits in fourth place following the first round of action at the Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational in Memphis, Tenn.

Totaling a team score of 367 after Sunday's first round, the Big Red is five strokes ahead of fifth-place Millikin University (372) and 34 strokes behind Carthage College in third place (333). Tournament-host Rhodes College is the current leader at 315.

Leading Denison after day one is junior Emmy Timberlake who fired an opening-round 85 to sit in 17th place. Freshman Megan Munn followed by four strokes in a tie for 19th at 89 and Ellie Broker shot a first-round 95 to land in a tie for 26th.

Lauren Danielson (29th - 98) and Olivia Cowley (30th - 102) rounded out the first day for the Big Red.

Denison returns to the Windyke West Country Club on Monday, April 1 for the final round of play at the Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational.
