DELAWARE, Ohio--  Denison scored the first 15 goals of the game and outshot their opponents 38-8, resulting in a commanding 23-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan.  The win moves Denison to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. It also extends Denison's conference winning streak to 30 games.

Two minutes into the game the Big Red held a 3-0 lead after unassisted goals by Liza Farnham and Kiely Noonan and a goal by Molly Fischer from Lindsey Karsh.  Possession was dominated by the Big Red and when they had the ball, clearing was a problem for the Battling Bishops.  The home team was just 5-of-18 in clearing situations and that resulted in 21 turnovers for OWU.  Jane Goodspeed finished with 11 draw controls and one caused turnover. Casey McTague led the defense with five ground balls while Paris Healey followed with four ground balls.

The offense was paced by Farnham's four goals on five shot attempts.  Noonan, Fischer, and Heher had three goals apiece and Abby King, McTague and Lee Hayman followed with two goals.

This is the second time the Big Red has scored over 20 goals in a game this season.  Last season, Denison accomplished this feat eight times.  In addition to running their conference winning streak to 30 games, this marked the ninth-straight win over Ohio Wesleyan, dating back to the 2010 season.  Denison's last NCAC loss came on April 8, 2015.  The NCAC record for most consecutive league wins is 49, set by the Denison teams from 1991-96.

Denison goalie Hannah Magarian played the first 30 minutes and did not allow a goal while posting two saves.

Their next game will be on Wednesday, April 3 when they travel to Oberlin, Ohio for a 7 p.m. draw against the Yeowomen.  Last year, Denison defeated Oberlin 17-6 in Granville.
