GRANVILLE, Ohio – Denison women's lacrosse has named four players to the 2019 Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll presented by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Seniors Jane Goodspeed, Colleen Muldoon, and Maddy Heher, along with junior Lee Hayman were all recognized on the honor roll after achieving cumulative grade point averages of 3.50 or greater during their collegiate careers. Additionally, the women's lacrosse program was named an Academic Honor Squad for the 2019 campaign after posting a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2018-19 academic year.

An accolade that is granted to student-athletes that classify as juniors, seniors or graduate students, Goodspeed earned her second-straight honor roll appearance after anchoring the Big Red defense in 2019 with 77 ground balls, 169 draw controls, and 52 caused turnovers, leading the team in all three categories. With 371 DCs and 151 CTs for her career, Goodspeed leaves Denison as the program's all-time leader in draw controls and caused turnovers for a game, season, and career. Her 236 ground balls also rank second in program history. Goodspeed was a four-time All-NCAC first-team selection, two-time NCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and two-time IWLCA All-American.

Recently graduating from Denison with a degree in global commerce, the East Grand Rapids, Mich. native was also a three-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll, was a first-team Google Cloud Academic All-District® selection in 2018 and received the President's Medal from Denison in 2019.

Also appearing on the Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight year, Heher rounded out her Denison career with 32 goals, 27 assists, and 12 ground balls during her senior season. She is a three-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and was honored at the James T. Glerum Student-Athlete Top-50 Celebration in each of the last three seasons. Heher was also the recipient of the 2019 IWLCA Division III Community Awareness Award for her significant contribution to the community along with support and development of athlete-community relations. She recently graduated from Denison magna cum laude with a degree in political science.

Muldoon made her second Honor Roll appearance after recording career highs in goals (17) and assists (22) in 2019. Also collecting nine ground balls during her senior campaign, Muldoon was named to the NCAC Academic Honor Roll from 2017-19 and recently graduated with a degree in psychology.

Making her debut on the Academic Honor Roll, Hayman wrapped up her junior season with eight goals and four assists while posting three multi-goal performances in 2019. She also tallied six ground balls, seven draw controls, and five caused turnovers. Hayman is also a two-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll. A communication major, Hayman will enter her senior season with 31 goals and 12 assists for her career.

Denison ended the 2019 campaign with a record of 16-5 and their fourth-straight 8-0 record in North Coast Athletic Conference play. Head coach Amanda Daniels also became the program's all-time winningest coach with 85 wins after securing consecutive 16-win seasons for the first time in school history.
