GRANVILLE, Ohio--  Denison University women's soccer debuted at No. 21 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Division III Top-25 poll on Tuesday.

Denison is off to a 4-1 start to the 2018 season and is currently riding a four-match winning streak which has seen them outscore opponents 17-3.  Last week, Denison opened with a convincing 7-1 victory over regional-rival, Otterbein University.  They returned over the weekend with a 4-0 win over Buffalo State and a 5-2 win over Shenandoah.  Senior Maggie Armstrong netted a hat-trick in the win over Shenandoah.  In three matches last week she scored five goals and added two assists.

Denison returns to the pitch on Saturday (Sept. 15) when they host 18th ranked Centre College at 1 p.m. at Barclay-Thomsen Field.  Last year, the Big Red picked up a 1-0 victory over the Colonels in Danville, Kentucky.

At 4-1, Denison is off to its best start since 2015.  That team opened the year 10-0 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
