The 2019 Denison University volleyball schedule has been released as the Big Red will open their season with a three-match series at Case Western Reserve the weekend of August 30. The Big Red will have their first home match of the season September 10 against Ohio Northern University. Denison will also play in the first-ever NCAC-MIAA Challenge in Lansing, Michigan in addition to tournaments in Richmond, Indiana, and Columbus, Ohio. The Big Red will finish their regular season at Wittenberg University October 29, with their last home match being against Allegheny on October 26.

Denison returns the reigning NCAC Newcomer of the Year in sophomore Payton McElfresh. McElfresh was the only first-year recognized on an All-NCAC team last season, where she finished top-3 on the team in kills, hitting percentage, total attacks, assists, service aces, and digs. Denison will also return starters in senior middle hitter Alex Tubbs and sophomore libero Marija Pavlick.

Head Coach Carter Cassell returns for his third season at the helm for the Big Red. Cassell has taken his team to the NCAC tournament in 2017 and 2018, totaling 26 victories.
