Denison women round out season at NCAA Regional

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – Denison women's cross country placed 24th overall to close out their season at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional race held at the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville, Ind.

With 661 team points, the Big Red finished 30 points behind Earlham in 23rd (631), and 27 points ahead of Muskingum (688). Baldwin Wallace won the overall team championship with 114 points and three finishers in the top 25.

Freshman Meagan Balch led DU in 70th place out of 240 total runners in the 6k race with a final time of 23:39.9. Fellow first-year Emily Willson followed in 90th after logging a time of 24:01.3.

Denison's team scoring was rounded out by sophomore Tommy Solberg with a time of 24:54.2 (138th), Sarah Radziewicz in 153rd (25:20.7), and Stefanie Rodrigues logging a time of 31:07.2.

The Big Red finished their 2018 season with three, top 10 finishes, including a fourth-place nod at the Franklin College Grizzly Invite.
